Puerto Galera in the Philippines is without a doubt one of the finest diving destinations in the world. Small La Laguna Beach where Portofino Beach Resort and our dive center partner Action Divers are located overlooks the Verde Island Passage.

The Verde Island Passage has been described as the "center of the center" of the world's marine bio diversity in a joint study by America's Smithsonian Institute. The Verde Island Passage has arguably the highest concentration of marine species of any region in the world's oceans. Beneath the turquoise waves that funnel nutrients from the Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea are spectacular reef formations of more than 300 species of coral and underwater rock canyons that host nearly 60 percent of the world's known shore fish species.

There are at least 50 recreational dive sites within a fifteen minute boat ride from the resort and dive center. Portofino Beach Resort and Action Divers have combined to provide you with a number of special packages to satisfy your accommodation and diving requirements at special rates. Fun Diving Package for Certified Divers

Come Fun Diving with Team Action you'll usually be diving with only 4 to 5 divers per boat at the best of Puerto Galera's signature dive sites PLUS exclusive Action sites that other divers hear about but never see.

  • Double/Twin Occupancy: $72/diver/day
  • Includes accommodation in a regular studio, free breakfast, 2 boat dives per day,
    tanks, weights, dive guide. Add $8/day for full scuba equipment rental.

Get Certified! Take a Scuba Lesson with the PADI Open Water Diver Course. Get your PADI scuba certification. If you've always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.

PADI Advanced Open Water Course Package

The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI instructor. This course builds on what you've learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.
