Getting to Portofino Beach Resort from Manila has never been easier. The recent completion of the link road between the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and the Southern Tagalog Arterial (STAR) Tollway means that the 97km drive from Manila to Batangas is now all on limited access roads.

These developments have cut several hours of travel time for most travelers. Various options exist depending on your needs and budget.

Experienced Travelers

For the experienced traveler or local visitors the most economical way to get here is through public transportation.

Take a bus from the Cubao or Pasay bus terminals in Manila straight to Batangas Pier. From Batangas Pier catch a public bangka (outrigger boat) direct to Sabang where we will meet you and escort you straight to Portofino Beach Resort.

The cost for public transportation one way is approximately P450. Public bangkas from Batangas to Sabang start their service at 8:00am.

The last Bangka is typically around 3:45pm. There are no bangkas at night.

Budget Travelers

For the budget traveler another option is the tourist bus services which depart from the City State Tower and the Swagman Hotels in Ermita at 8:00am every morning.

The bus will take you straight to Batangas Pier where you will catch the public Bangka to Sabang where we will meet you and escort you directly to Portofino Beach Resort.

Total cost per person is around P750 which includes bus and bangka tickets and a guide.

Local Travelers

If travelling by private car or your own vehicle down to Batangas, you have several options for getting here.

Get dropped off at the Batangas Pier or leave your car in the new public long term parking area and take the public bangka for approximately P250 or proceed to Berberabe Beach near Batangas where we will arrange to have you picked up by a private bangka service at a time you request and bring you directly to Portofino Beach Resort.

The one way cost of the private car is P3,000. The one way cost of the private bangka is P3,000. Click on the map at left and print it out for directions to Berberabe Beach from the exit of the STAR Tollway. If travelling by public bangka we will meet you in Sabang and bring you straight to the resort.

First Time Visitors & Groups

The most hassle free way to get here and the one we recommend for new visitors to the Philippines or groups where costs can be shared is to use a combination of private van and private bangka.

We will arrange the private van to pick you up at the airport when you arrive or from your hotel and will bring you directly to Berberabe Beach where a private bangka will be waiting and bring you directly to Portofino Beach Resort.

Cost for this service is P6,000 one way all inclusive for up to six people. Larger groups may be accommodated on request.
